Congratulations on taking steps to learn more about #PledgeAllAbilities, HCE’s newest initiative to optimize employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Through this initiative,
HCE seeks to:

  • Increase your employees’ awareness of how to effectively include persons with disabilities into the workplace.
  • Increase our number of business partnerships, while developing a network of committed inclusive businesses, which will increase placements of individuals in our program as well as providing more equitable employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
  • Advance our #PledgeAllAbilities marketing campaign in tandem with our new and existing partners, raising awareness and helping our partner businesses let their community know they are committed to our cause.

Advantages to Our Partnership

Our partnership grants you access to the expertise of a disability agency with extensive experience in creating inclusive workplaces. HCE specializes in working with the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind populations. This unique specialization opens doors to a network of individuals you may not have previously considered. Employers can access training on Deaf culture and resources related to American Sign Language & assistive technologies, among other valuable resources.
Our partnership offers valuable training opportunities for your entire staff, fostering a disability-friendly workplace environment.

Our Training Specialist covers essential topics such as:
  • Effective recruitment of persons with disabilities.
  • Strategies to reduce turnover by hiring individuals with disabilities.
  • Enhancing company morale and overall culture.
  • Qualifying for federal and state financial incentives, including tax deductions.
  • Meeting federal contractor requirements as per Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Additionally, our staff will provide in-depth guidance on complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act and addressing accommodation issues with both employees and consumers.
Partnering with us entitles you to a complimentary workplace analysis. We gather data on job duties, responsibilities, necessary skills, and work environments for available positions. We’ll collaborate with you to craft job descriptions that align with your business needs while accommodating persons with disabilities.

Upon making your pledge (see the form below), we’ll collaborate closely with you to highlight your accomplishments across HCE’s social media platforms, local media outlets, and job fairs. You’ll receive a comprehensive media kit and collateral materials to showcase your dedication to tapping into the largest consumer market, persons with disabilities.
