Great news! Hudson County has launched the Blue Envelope Program to support drivers with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), making traffic stops safer and more accessible. This initiative provides a blue envelope containing essential documents to help improve communication with law enforcement. HCE was honored to bring in one of our students who recently earned his driver’s license to participate in this exciting day. Nicholas Lima (pictured) is a Project SEARCH intern at the Jersey City Medical Center. He obtained his license this past Fall, and received his blue envelope at the event earlier this March. A huge thank you to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office for championing inclusion and understanding on our roads!
